Giving Thanks
Giving Thanks
For the hay and the corn and the wheat that is reaped,
For the labor well done, and the barns that are heaped,
For the sun and the dew and the sweet honeycomb,
For the rose and the song and the harvest brought home --
Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!
For the trade and the skill and the wealth in our land,
For the cunning and strength of the workingman's hand,
For the good that our artists and poets have taught,
For the friendship that hope and affection have brought --
Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!
For the homes that with purest affection are blest,
For the season of plenty and well-deserved rest,
For our country extending from sea unto sea;
The land that is known as the "Land of the Free" --
Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

YALL NEED TO listen...to the RIGHT THING
I saw this quote that caught my eye and I really had to let you guys know about it.
I definitely did not want this site to be about relationships (or at least I did not want any of my posts to be about relationships) But I guess I am going to let you guys know stop and listen to your woman, or woman's, lol which ever one y'all got. Also women listen to the men and things will get solved a lot more easily.
This also does not apply to relationships. Also listen to your Best friends, your boss, your older bruhs, you sisters, your younger bruhs, your sorority sisters older and younger, your parents, your coach, whoever! You can and will learn a lot from the people around you, do not hinder yourself from learning by not listening.

@AndreAllen2
"There are people who, instead of listening to what is being said to them, are already listening to what they are going to say themselves"This is deep if you think about it. Take an argument between your significant other for instance. Now I find myself doing this ALL THE TIME. I let the person talk and I hear one thing they say and I disagree with it I instantly zone out and formulate in my head what my comeback will be. I can speak for the men when I say we are all probably guilty of this.

10 Bad Negroes
10. Aaron MacGruder
This young man may seem unfamiliar at first, but he is the creator of “The Boondocks”, one of the boldest, most controversial black cartoons on national television.
This young man may seem unfamiliar at first, but he is the creator of “The Boondocks”, one of the boldest, most controversial black cartoons on national television.
9. Tyler Perry
Sure, many may see him as an Uncle Tom, effeminate, or just downright trifling, but he still is making guap off every movie that hits the box office. And despite his trackr ecord, he consistently gets some of the biggest black names to star in his productions. “For Colored Girls”: in theaters now.
8. Lil Wayne
Weezy is free! After nine CDS, a production company, prison time, and solitary confinement, he still is going stronger than ever. “I Am Not A Human Being”: in stores now.
7. Lebron James
Yeah, ya’ll mad. He left Cleveland for a ring. But the Miami Heat is just warming up.
6. Chris Brown
Now, I don’t think anybody that B*** slapped one of America’s sweethearts could have bounced back that smooth. A Michael Jackson tribute and a single later has the public thinking, “Rihanna who?”
5. Kanye West
Ye is the guy America loves to hate. No matter how inappropriate he is, we still respect his outspokenness and kinda appreciate it. Plus the songs he has been releasing off his upcoming album are pure, undeniable fire.
4. Jay-Z
Nobody can hate on this man’s swag. He got one of the baddest chicks in the music industry, enough money to last him a lifetime, and a flow that makes him your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. Even if he is down with the illuminati….
3. Kobe Bryant
I never did like this dude, but he did get 5 rings…with the same team….with and without Shaq. AND they still think he’s gonna take this year’s championships. Shrug.
2. Michelle Obama
America’s first lady is bold, beautiful, and best of all, black! She’s taking us black women where no other woman as gone before. And this just proves that behind every great man is a great woman.
1. President Barack Obama
He’s the President of the United States of America. ‘Nuff said.
Honorable Mentions:
T.I.
He’s got a nice flow and a nice head on his shoulders. He just keep acting so dang stupid!
Oprah
She ain’t rich, she’s wealthy! But something about her just rubs me wrong.
Antoine Dodson
He stole the spotlight and even made it to the BET Hip Hop Awards, but flaming does not qualify for this list.
50 Tyson
Love him to death -catchy songs, baby face- but he needs to be evaluated by someone with the letters Ph.D. behind their name.

Lil Wayne Free: "Weezy" Released from NYC Jail
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne has been freed from jail after serving eight months in a New York City gun case.
PICTURES: Most Outrageous Mug Shots
The city's Department of Correction website said Thursday Dwayne Carter Jr. had been released from the Rikers Island jail complex.
This contradicts an earlier report from MTV News that Wayne's release was going to be delayed a day, because his time in jail had been "miscalculated."
The platinum-selling, billboard topping MC pleaded guilty in 2009 to possessing a loaded gun on his tour bus in Manhattan. He started serving a one-year sentence in March.
He was expected to get out early because of time off for good behavior, despite the electronic contraband that landed him in solitary confinement for the last month of his term: a charger and headphones for a digital music player were found in his cell, jail officials said. While he was in solitary confinement, his latest album "I Am Not a Human Being" was released. It hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last month.
In an interview aired Wednesday with MTV, Young Money records president Mack Maine said a party was being planned for this Sunday in Miami to help the rapper readjust to normal life on the outside.
"It should be a lot of beautiful women, just...beautiful scenery. Just treat him like a king, like the royalty that he is and make him feel like we really missed him and welcome him back to the family," Maine told MTV.
The record label boss, who MTV says is also a close personal friend of Lil Wayne, said after a private party, the entourage would move to a strip club called King of Diamonds.
"I was never scared, worried nor bothered by the situation" behind bars, Lil Wayne said Tuesday through Weezythanxyou.com, a website he set up to give fans a glimpse of his life in jail.

Know How to Act.
Think about this:
"We are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the POWER to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our own actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in the future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act"
I would like to get your guys' thoughts on that statement. what does it mean to you?

Is Monogamy Redundant?
As "Cuffing Season" approaches, it is a fact that the number of couples will rise by the boatload. Its cold and we as humans need warmth. While totally understandable there still is a question I pose to my good people out there..... Will this be a monogamous winter for you? Even a better question is will it be a monogamous relationship for your significant other? While most scoff at the idea of ever being cheated on, let's be real it happens to the best of us. Especially in this day and age that its not just free love...its a total freak off that with each weekend brings a new hookup and scandal . So I pose the question is Monogamy Redundant ... For couples is the time where you should be most worried? Heightened state of panic maybe? For my single people if its a winter "hook up" should we keep it 100 and leave ourselves open to more options or should we keep our promiscuity in hibernation to give love a chance as the temperature chills and that bed becomes a tad bit more empty.

"Focus"
Here is a thought that I want you to ponder on. YES I said "PONDER!"
Take up one idea. Make that one idea your LIFE, think of it, dream of it, and live on that idea. Let your brain muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea and just leave every other idea alone, this is the way to success, that is the way great spiritual giants are produced.
It is all about focus. If you are doing something right now as we speak (with the exception of somethings) and it is not a part of or a step you have to take to get to your #IDEAS then what are you doing it for. A kid in high school that wants to play division one college BASKETBALL is not going to go out and pratice his WideReciever Routes on the daily basis. That is the best example I can come up with but you guys all know what I am trying to say. If you want to be a doctor, take the steps to be a doctor, if you want to be a rapper, take the steps to be a rapper. There is a road to the places we all want to go, the key is staying on that road, only then will you make it to your destination.
Lets make #Focus a trending topic today people.
Yours Truely,
