Is partying BAD FOR YOU?

And I want your comments on this one! Please

So I looked up the word "party" and here is what I got.

1 : a person or group taking one side of a question, dispute, or contest
2 : a group of persons organized for the purpose of directing the policies of a government
3 : a person or group participating in an action or affair
4 : a particular individual : person
5 : a detail of soldiers
6 : a social gathering; also : the entertainment provided for it

I Love to party.. i mean lets be honest! I look forward to my weekends! and sometimes even my thursdays who doesnt? But when does partying become a distraction, when does partying become a  cancer in your life....my answer to that is simple..WHEN YOU LET PARTYING DRIVE YOUr THOUGHTS. Yes, on the weekends, I am always looking for where the party is at... I mean I am a Bruh (Alpha) and not even that I am a sophmore in college, still experiencing life, still love life still want to have fun and LIVE...now some of you, your definition of living life doesnt involve @DJBANDCAMP and drink specials at Madfrog...and that SOLELY is not what  I consider living life also, but it is a part of it. 

We all mature at different rates and in different ways. We all hang with different crowds. With that being said, the crowed you hang out with, and the crowed I hang out with may have, and most likely have two different definitions of what being "mature" is. If you can party 7 days a week and get your work done, then that's whats up. MAN get your work done, go hard during the week so that you can kick it hard on the weekends! POINT BLANK. When partying starts to take over your life though, it is time for a reality check.

I am not going to lie, for me there are only 3 things that I would die for. And those three things were the top three things that put most of my daily attention into. was it the same three things for you?

Today i learned a new phrase called ENERGY SUCKERS. Energy suckers are people in your life, or things in your life that take up all your energy so that you have no time or energy for the real people and real things in your life. Example, you have a test to study for, but you spent the whole day "kickin" it and shopping at the mall with someone that you normally do not even hang out with, they are an ENERGY SUCKER. You are giving all your time to people and things in your life that DON'T MATTER. We all have energy suckers and we all give in to those energy suckers from time to time, but how often?

I must admit i am enjoying the college life and being a college student so all this may make me sound like a hypocrite but i am not...my energy suckers and yours might be two different things. we as people need to get out of the "noise of today" and do what we want to do for OURSELVES because at the ends of the day no one is going to take care of us except us.

Now back to the ENERGY SUCKERS. who do you surround your self with? Do you associate yourself with people that are like you? Better than you? or Worse than you? or Even striving to be you? You are the company you keep! its ok to hang out with all those types of people I just named? But all of those types of people COLLECTIVELY. You can't just hang out with people that are better than you, because, yes you will strive to be better, but you will have no one looking up to you striving to be like you. You have to know where you have been, to know where you are going. You also cant hang around people that are worse than you doing nothing with their lives because wheres your motivation to do better. There has to be a balance. I must say, I have surrounded my self with some HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL people, and it starts with my mother. Stop and think...who are the ENERGY SUCKERS in your life.

Stay optimistic, keep your head up, and walk around like you the shit, but be humble at the same time...I know who got me here and I only hope to be better than them

The UC Shuttle

Im an Agressive speaker....this is what i am told

Alright so apparently I come off as an aggressive speaker. When people are talking to me they feel as if I am angry..When in reality, IM NOT lol. It takes a lot to make me really mad. ALOT i do not get mad often, annoyed yes...but Annoyance only lasts for minutes, usually 2 minutes after the situation takes place I have moved on. So if you see me on campus, say WHAT UP haha I am a nice person, unless it is well known that I dont like you....and its very few people that I dont like.

Thoughts

I have a lot of thoughts. I think about a lot of things regardless what I tell you. Problem is, when face to face or having a conversation I dont always get my point accross, or say everything I wana say.. I almost always miss one things I wanted to say, and usually its a MAJOR part of my argument.

Dreams

When people dream they are not fully conscious but they are in a semi-conscious state where they have absolutely no control over their  thoughts and expressions. I found out that  most of us spend six years or more of our lifetime dreaming. There has been  research that proves that all of us dream at least twice or more in our sleep though we may not remember when we get up. In 5 minutes of waking, half of our dream is forgotten and within 10 minutes, almost all dreams are forgotten. People who are blind from birth too dream. It is just that the dreams of these individuals are formed by other sense such as the touch, smell, sound and taste.

Cleveland Cavs Head Coach MIKE BROWN FIRED??

It was announced Monday morning that the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach Mike Brown. After five season with the Cavs, Coach Brown had a record of 314-177. Brown also made the playoffs every season as the head coach including a trip to the NBA Finals.

Now you would think the Cavs having Lebron James (who is arguably one of the best if not the best player in the NBA right now) Shaq and the addition of Jamison that they would be major contenders in the league this year. They finished the season with the number one record in the whole NBA, and Lebron won MVP AGAIN! Although all that happened it was not enough. The Cleveland Cavaliers once again let the city of Cleveland down.

I am a HUGE Cleveland fan, I was born and raised in Cleveland and till this day I would argue with ANYONE that Lebron James is a better player then KOBE, because the fact of the matter is, he is a better player. The stats prove it! I am a numbers guy, I do numbers. If you do not believe me check the NUMBERS..yes he has more rings..BUT how many years did it take Kobe to win one..also Kobe had the COACH and SHAQ he did not do it all by himself..but I digress

My question to you is...Do you feel that Mike Brown being fired was a good idea? and Because Mike Brown got fired will that give Lebron more incentive to stay in Cleveland or will it further convince him to leave?

My thoughts on the situation are simple. Brown was a great coach...defensively...when it came to offense Mike Brown did not know what he was talking about AT ALL. I watched games where the whole team was standing around and watching Lebron...what kinda offense is that. My high school basketball team ran better offense than that. I feel that getting rid of Brown was a great decision, now the question is who will fill his shoes!? Lebron is not leaving Cleveland..he will stay in Cleveland without a doubt in my mind (Lebron fan or not) Cleveland is on their way to winning a championship it takes time, they have made necessary steps to get them on the right track, and the firing of Brown was a great move.

Miss Black & Gold Purpose

 The Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant is a competition to promote the beauty, skill, elegance, academic, and all around talent among minority college women. Contestants will compete for a cash scholarship in five categories. The contestants will also be required to complete community service prior to the pageant and are expected to represent the Fraternity’s ideals of scholarship, manly deeds and love for all mankind. The winner of the pageant will have the opportunity to compete at the district, regional, and national levels. The duties of Miss Black and Gold are to represent and support the chapter and give back to the community.

The INTRO

Was good yall? So today in my class we had a guest speaker, and I was talking to her and she said that I should start a blog. So I did.

I do not quite know what to talk about but I am going to start by introducing myself.

My name is Andre Eanes, I was born in Cleavland Ohio and raised in a suburb of Cleveland called Strongsville. My parents are divorced and my mom works hard to put me and my TWIN brother through college. I would like to say growing up I was very fortunate and my mom made me what I am today.

I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Cincinnati for those of you that don't know. I am also a member of UBSA and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity INC. Chapter DOUBLE A.

I am currently in LOVE with my life, and am very self focused I guess you can say. I am in the process of trying to figure out what I want to do with my life and where I want to go.
